Honor Guard Events

The POW/MIA Honor Guard are scheduled to conduct a dedication of a POW/MIA  Chair of Honor to Cobb County at the Civic Center for the Vietnam Veterans on Sat. August 25, 2018 at 2PM.  The team will also conduct the Missing Man Table Ceremony prior to the dedication. We are honored to be part of this recognition of our Vietnam Veterans.
The Georgia POW/MIA Honor Guard will be conducting a Dedication of a POW/MIA Chair of Honor and the Missing Man Table Ceremony by invitation of the Governor at the State Capital, on September 20, 2018 for the POW/MIA Recognition Day Ceremony at 11:00 am till 12 noon. Your Honor Guard is very honored to be selected to conduct these programs for the Governor and the State of Georgia
NOTE:  We are in need of more volunteers to join us on the Honor Guard Team. We hold practices every other Wednesday afternoons at 6 pm at the post. We will furnish you the uniform and teach you all the programs.  If you think you might want to give it a try just come to one of our practices or our monthly meeting every third Sat after the SAL breakfast. You may never know how you will look in black , it may surprise you.  We are requesting this in the entire Legion Family so come and check us out please. Next practice will be September 5, 2018 at 6 pm at the Post.  Hope to see you there.

The Department of Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency announced today the return of (8) eight U.S. servicemen to their families for burial with full military honors and to bring closure to their loved ones.

Celebrity Bartender

Wednesday August 22nd we’ll have another Celebrity Bartender. The purpose of these guests is to bring some fun and new ideas to the Social Quarters. Our guest will have some drink specials and their own choice of music. Perhaps some light snacks. Come join the fun.
