Constitutional Speech Contest

                        Almost time for the High School Constitutional Speech Contest

Saturday, January 18, right here at Post 29 marks the start of a journey that could culminate in over $23,000.00 in cash and scholarships for an area high schooler. Some of the best and brightest students from throughout the area will be competing in the 83rd annual American Legion High School Oratorical Speech Contest. You are strongly encouraged to attend, not only to support the students, but to be treated to an amazing display of patriotism and oratorical excellence.  You will leave even prouder to be an American. New Member Happy Hour and Guest Bartender Wednesday 1.15.2020

Our monthly new member Happy Hour is fast approaching. We’ll have another Post 29 member step in to play barkeep this Wednesday, 1/15. He or she should bring some fun, some drink specials, and some camaraderie. Stop by from 5:30-9:30PM to see who slings the drinks. Come join the fun and meet new friends.

POW MIA Update 1.10.2020

We would like to congratulate James Cressman on being selected as the member of the year at the January Legion Meeting. Also thanks to Russ Wood, Gail Evilsizor, and Steve Jennings for being selected as Honorary Guards for the POW/MIA Honor Guard.

The Department of Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency announced the return of (1)  U.S serviceman to his family for burial with full military honors and to bring closure to his loved ones.

  1. Marines, Gunnery Sgt Arthur B. Sumers, 27, of Washington state, Company I,3rd Battalion,6th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, Fleet Marine Force, Lost on 11/23/1943—Accounted for on 10/17/2019—Tarawa Atoll/WWII.

Queen of Hearts Update!

Queen of Hearts had no winner in week #21. Next drawing is Tuesday 1.14.2020. All players must have a valid 2020 membership card to participate. RENEW NOW!

Ticket sales close at 5:45 PM. Drawing at 6PM. 

Tuesday drawings are getting crowded. PLEASE PURCHASE YOUR TICKETS BEFORE TUESDAY.  Tickets can be purchased from any of the bartenders on duty any day of the week. We encourage you to not wait until Tuesday to purchase your tickets due to the higher volume of ticket sales.
